For Our Farmers

Connect with Your Community

Across the United States, dairy farmers are home to healthy, content dairy cows that produce wholesome milk. If you have one of those farms and want to share it with students in your local community, we want to help!

First, Discover Dairy periodically receives requests to tour a local farm. If you would like to volunteer as a farm who welcomes school groups for tours, please select “Volunteer for Farm Tours.”

Second, as you may know, Discover Dairy offers a program called the Adopt A Cow Program. Though we are not accepting new host farms for the program at this time, we have resources for you to use if you are interested in connecting with your local school on your own and providing a similar experience. This kit, called the Classroom Cow Kit, provides a great outline on how to get started, how to share calf information and how often, photo tips, and much more. If you would like to receive the Classroom Cow Kit materials, please select “Classroom Cow Kit Materials.”

Finally, if you are interested in both volunteering as a farm for farm tours and want to receive the Classroom Cow Kit, please select “Volunteer for Tours & Classroom Cow Kit.”
