It’s a MOO-velous Monday to meet one of our calves in this year’s Adopt A Cow program. Meet Gaga! She was born on September 1 at Clark Family Dairy. Fun fact: Her mom’s name is Lady J and weighs more than 1,500 pounds! Follow along to see how big Gaga will get this year.

Now that the Adopt a Cow program is in full swing, here's a fun activity for you! Challenge your students to this short five-question Kahoot! game to learn a little more about newborn dairy calves. This is a great way to get your students involved and excited to learn more about dairy.

Now that you have your adopted cow for the year, what breed is yours? Each breed of dairy cow has unique attributes to learn about, and this can make for a fun activity for your students! Some breeds make higher protein milk while some have higher fat content which is great for making ice cream. ...
